Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) aka Oracle Identity Governance (OIG) is part of Oracle’s Identity & Access Management Suite (IDM/IDAM).

Enterprises these days have have lot of systems like Microsoft Active Directory (MS-AD), Oracle E-Business Suite (Financials/HRMS), SAP, Databases , Emails etc

Any new Employee (Joiner) needs to be provisioned to all these systems, manually creating accounts is not only time consuming but Error Prone too.

User Management Challenges-OIMDev

Oracle Identity Manager solves this problem of creating , managing, moving, and removing users in hours using connectors (all automated with help of Access Policies or Roles)

OIM also provide other Identity Management Capability like User Management, Self Service, Certification, Approval based Workflow, Delegated Administration , Provisioning etc

Most of the time companies customise OIM screens, look & feel , change behaviour of Connectors or even develop their own Custom Connectors .

Join me (Oracle ACE & Author) and Sunil (IDAM Expert) for FREE Live Webinar on March 25 (Sunday) for Developing Oracle Identity Manager basic Functionality .

I started my IT career in 2000 as an Oracle DBA/Apps DBA. The first few years were tough (<0/month), with very little growth. In 2004, I moved to the UK. After working really hard, I landed a job that paid me £2700 per month. In February 2005, I saw a job that was £450 per day, which was nearly 4 times of my then salary.
