What is Microsoft Fabric?
Microsoft Fabric is a cloud-based SaaS platform that consolidates a variety of essential data and analytics tools for organizations. These tools include Data Factory, Data Activator, Synapse Data Warehouse, Synapse Data Engineering, Synapse Data Science, Synapse Real-Time Analytics, and Power BI. It is an end-to-end analytics and data platform designed for enterprises, offering a unified solution for data movement, processing, transformation, real-time event routing, and reporting.
It integrates seamlessly with Microsoft tools like Power BI, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake, offering a streamlined approach to data processing and visualization
What is a Workspace in Microsoft Fabric?
A Microsoft Fabric Workspace is a collaborative environment within the Microsoft Fabric platform where users can organize, manage, and share data-related assets like lakehouses, warehouses, reports, and pipelines.
Workspaces support role-based access control (Admin, Member, Contributor, Viewer) and allow teams to collaborate on analytics projects efficiently.
Each user gets a default “My Workspace” for personal use, while additional shared workspaces can be created for team projects. Workspaces also integrate with licensing options (Pro or Premium) and advanced settings for customization.

Steps to create a Microsoft Fabric Workspace
Now that we have got some basic overview of what Microsoft fabric & workspace is, let’s look at the steps to create a workspace:
Pre-Requisites
Before you create a workspace you will need an Active Microsoft Fabric Account with an Active License.

Create a Workspace
In this section we will be creating a work space where we will further utilise the lakehouse for further processing and ingestion of Data.
1.) Once your fabric account is ready browse to this url https://app.fabric.microsoft.com/home?experience=fabric , select Data Engineering

2.) In the menu bar on the left, select Workspaces

3.) Click on New Workspace

4.) Create a new workspace with name workspacek21, selecting a licensing mode as Trial in the Advanced section. Then click on Apply

Delete a Workspace
Once you’ve finished exploring & working with the fabric workspace, make sure to delete it. You can follow the below steps:
1.) In the bar on the left, select the icon for your workspace to view all of the items it contains.
2.) In the toolbar, select Workspace settings.

3.) In the General section, select Remove this workspace.
