This post covered steps for how to create an API Instance and connect it with your APIARY account to utilize APIs created by your development team.
We have been getting this query repeatedly in our Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) masterclass (Register here for FREE) so, I think of including the steps in my blog.
Oracle API Platform Cloud Service Overview
API Platform Cloud Service provides a completely new, simplified API management user experience on top of a proven API gateway. It offers API Security, Discovery & Consumption, Monetization, and Analysis.
1. Select the Platform Services > API Platform, under the More Oracle Cloud Services
2. This will open a page and now click on Create Instance.

3. Enter Details for your API Instance then click on Next.
- Instance Name: APTTest
- Description: For Testing
- Notification Email: email@email.com
- Region: (Optional)
- Tags: (Optional)

4. Confirm the details and then Click on

5. It would take around 20 to 30 mins to complete the API Instance creation.

Creating an API & Connecting With APIARY
1. Click on the menu icon and open the Access API Platform Cloud Service Instance by clicking on it.

2. To create an API click on Create API

3. Provide details for your API then click on Create.
- Name: New_Appl
- Version: ver_1.0

4. Open your newly created API by clicking on it.

5. Now click on the Apiary button to connect it with APIARY.

6. Provide details of your APIARY account and click on Sign in.

7. Click on Continue to Sign in.

8. Now you are all done click on Create New API.
