Step By Step to Create An Application
- Make sure to enable oracle process Automation in the instance(Integration instance) so that you can directly access process automation no need to create a separate instance. Go to Process and click on Applications, create a new process application.

- Provide a meaningful name here and click on create.

- Now we need to create roles (Manager and users(employee)) so that user or employee can send request and manager will accept or reject.

- Here create two roles one is employee and another one is manager and assigned them to application so that we can assign users to roles to use application.

- Now go to roles and assign users to both employee and manager(In the permissions section Assign (employee as – Use) and (Manager as – Manage) so that manager can manage the application and have permissions to accept or reject, and user can submit requests.

- After successfully assigning users to Roles, now create an process component to design our workflow, go to process and click on structured.

- Provide a Meaning full name and click on create.

- Now go to process component and interface looks like below.

- We have successfully created roles that we need assign here in the swim lanes, Click on swim lane and assign roles one is employee and another one is manager.

- Now drag the end event to Manager swim lane and Approve under Human drag to manager swimlane.

- Drag arrow from start event to User Tasks and now drag the Gateway(Exclusive) to manager swim lane.(for navigation path).

- Drag arrow from User tasks to Gateway and from Gateway to end event, Click on User Tasks and go to properties and change the title to manager approval.

- Now we need to create a webform so that employee can enter details like their names, reason, date(Todate-From date) Click on webform. Provide a meaningful name and click on create.

- Now go to the interface of webform and now drag input text according to your requirement to mention separate fields(like firstname, lastname).

- Change the titles for heading sections according to your requirement, here i am using Name, Date(To-From), and the Text area is for Entering reason for leave.

- Now go to Process and here we need to add webform to the start event, click on start event and open properties section and go to end user Display, provide a title and Assign webform to user.

- Now click on User Tasks and you can rename it, here i have renamed it to manager approval and in the assignees section click Current lane participants(here if we are selecting as current lane participants only particular user who are assigned can use it). You can also Assign to individual, by clicking on individual and you can select the user.

- Now in the End user display enter a title and Assign the webform we created.

- Now click on the path from exclusive gateway to end event(you can rename it to Approve) means if the request is approved the process will be completed successfully.

- Now the process has been completed successfully now we can test the application, before testing we need to activate it , click on Activate and a snapshot will be create(you can change name if you want) and click on Activate.

- Now after Activating the Application we can test it in the workspace, go to workspace and you will find the request that need to be submitted by you.

- Now the User can submit the details and it will be send to Manager for Approval and Manager will Approve the request.
